WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE DEDICATED SESSION...
This is a non-conventional, no-touch type of massage where you lay on the floor fully clothed. The session begins with counseling therapy to learn about your state of mind and current needs, then once set up, I will prepare you mentally by setting an intention through personalized meditation and breathing exercises prior to starting the soundbath.
The bowls are strategically placed around you and if needed on top of your body, to cover all the standard meridian points, then Himalayan singing bowls and gongs are played using felt mallets, to create soothing sounds.
The gentle vibrations generated by these instruments encourage harmonization and deep relaxation. The frequencies produced by the bowls, set the brain waves into different states of relaxation, first into the Alfa and Theta, then Delta stage where the restorative and self-healing mode occurs. Tuning forks are also part of this therapy, The Tuning Forks are rich in resonance and vibration, they connect and support the body's natural frequencies. The sound waves of the forks vibrate and travel deeply into the body along energy pathways affecting human physiology and accessing our sense of balance, space, memory, and healing.
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR THE DEDICATED SESSION?
Wear comfortable and light fabric clothing, preferably cotton or yoga-like clothing. Cashmere pashminas or sweat loose pants work as well. If it is scheduled after mealtime, eat something light and hydrate well. Avoid the use of alcohol prior to the session.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU TAKE A SOUND BATH?
Generally, 1-2 sessions per month are recommended. However, if you are experiencing emotional, physical or mental challenges that need to be addressed, then weekly sessions are better. Also, if you are just starting out, then go for 4 sessions spaced 1-2 weeks apart.
HOW LONG DO SOUND BATH SESSIONS LAST?
A typical sound bath experience is about 45-60 minutes long
HOW DOES IT FEEL?
This is a unique experience like no other, it will make you feel so relaxed since the sound all around you creates a 'bath' of visceral sound where you can feel the frequency of sound in the deepest parts of your body. A sound bath creates a meditative state where the brain emits healing brainwaves and takes you to a state of deep relaxation.
WHAT DO I NEED FOR A SOUNDBATH GROUP SESSION?
Wear comfortable yoga clothing, a yoga mat, and a light blanket if you wish. A bottle of water to hydrate after the session.
